Mr. Stewart was an over-the-top drama teacher I had in Detroit. Everyone at school really liked him. He was so approachable. We would all see him around town doing volunteer work or at things like the Renaissance Festival. It was inspiring to see how much he cared about the community. For me personally, he was instrumental in getting me over my shyness. I remember for his class I had to lip synch “Don’t Speak” by No Doubt. I had to dress up like Gwen Stefani and I actually did it! I couldn’t believe I did it, but his big personality made it easy to let go. Now, I’m not even a little bit shy!
